How to make aluminium and chemical free deodorant at home at Medimove Exercise Physiology Byron bay

Reduce stretch marks by making pregnancy moisturiser at home

As many of you know I am pregnant and I love making chemical free products at home, so what better reason than to make a cream specifically designed to reduce stretch marks, because I certainly want to return to my pre-baby body!

This recipe is super easy, and if you’ve been following along for a while you’ll know I also make my own deodorant, moisturiser, and now sunscreen. The base ingredients are pretty similar, it’s all about which oils you use that create different benefits.

You are probably aware, our skin is our largest organ, so why aren’t we more discerning about what we use on our skin? Rather than using a toxic substances I recommend choosing a homemade substance that is super easy to make, easy to use and cost effective.

I personally love to cook, and create in the kitchen. It’s my artistic expression, and when I researched the basic ingredients that went into making these products, there were very similar base ingredients across the range, so it makes purchasing in bulk so easy.

I’ve provided a few links to support you in finding affordable and high quality products to assist you in making these products.

I spent $200 for 2 years’ worth of the ingredients required to continuously makes sunscreen, moisturiser and deodorant. I even make enough for my family and friends, and they love it! Click here for the company I sourced the ingredients from.

It’s more affordable and nourishing that anything else on the market.

Homemade Stretch mark eliminating recipe

2 tbsp unrefined coconut oil

2 tbsp of beeswax

2 tbsp shea butter

2 tbsp cacao butter

Add essential oils – I added 20 drops of Frankincense, 20 drops of Geranium, and 20 drops of Lavender. You can also use Patchouli, Chamomile, Cypress, Hawaiian sandalwood, Helichrysum or Rose Hip oil.

Step 1:

Melt the shea butter, coconut oil, cacao butter and beeswax in a double boiler mix (A dish over lightly boiling water in a saucepan). Make sure the oil doesn’t boil; you want it to be to just melt over a low heat. Remove from the heat once it’s melted.

Step 2:

Now add the essential oils

Step 3:

Once all the ingredients are mixed, power into jar while it is in a liquid state. This part need to be done quickly, as it will dry quickly, especially if you are in a cold place.

Step 4:

Store in an airtight container in the fridge or in a cool place. Use within 6 months.
